Well, it’s been a rather inauspicious start to the Year of the Dragon – Our 49ers lost again in the Super Bowl, winter storms have downed trees and power lines, flooding some folks out of their homes, and even five minutes of televised news is enough to make one want to crawl under a big blanket and say, “Enough!”
How do you “armor up” in the face of daily stresses and battery of negative news? Daily meditation… prayer… envisioning what you want your life to look like? How about exercise? I do some sort of workout 5 times a week… weights, cardio, plyometrics, martial arts.
Natalie is a member of the popular Peloton #HardCORE Facebook group and works out doing her “Stacks” nearly 7 days per week. She invites you to reach out to her if you’re intrigued! She even leads an accountability group with other like-minded friends. She’s passionate about strength training as she enters her 6th decade.
There’s definitely a mental, physical and spiritual component to living your best life, and I feel like there are things we need to do at minimum just to stay standing and cope with demands. Do something you love, be with people you love, love your pets. We have the knowledge, resources and wisdom at our fingertips – we just need to do it. Whatever it is that puts you in proper balance and reminds you of your gratitude-attitude, DO IT.
Then, even when your childhood favorite sports team loses the Super Bowl, you can take it in stride and look forward to a better tomorrow.

Open house visitor numbers have surged, new listings coming on the market have risen, the pipeline of coming listings is filling up faster than last year, and the number of homes going into contract is climbing rapidly as the market wakes up. With dramatic improvements since October in interest rates, stock markets and consumer confidence, both buyers and sellers are re-engaging to a much greater degree, and the velocity of the market is accelerating.
The inventory of house listings remains very low compared to pre-pandemic norms, and the demand vs supply dynamic is very tight in that segment: One of the big questions in 2024 is how many homeowners, having held off listing their houses since mid-2022, move forward with selling. The supply of condo listings is considerably higher, and while condo and house sales numbers are similar, condo inventory is 130% higher. But condo market conditions also appear to be heating up in 2024, with market conditions varying significantly between neighborhoods.

* The things that bring you day-to-day happiness usually start around the age of 53, an age when you realize the things that make you happy are not what you had anticipated would make you happy in your 20s. (CNBC)
* Fannie Mae said it would expand the types of mortgages it will purchase that rely on a cheaper alternative to title insurance, one of the biggest fixed costs tied to closing a mortgage. The alternative called an attorney-opinion letter, allows a real-estate attorney to essentially attest that there are no problems with a property’s title. The average borrower relying on such a letter has saved more than $1,000 compared with more traditional title insurance. Attorney-opinion letters were once widely used, but title insurance grew in popularity because there were limited options for recovering losses from the attorneys issuing opinion letters. (WSJ)

Located at 1023 Terra Nova Blvd. in Pacifica, Upper Crust Deli is among a cluster of local businesses found within Park Mall Center. The shopping strip is discreet, to say the least, but if you don’t slow down, you might miss out on killer subs priced between $10 and $13.

In his retirement, 49ers legend Joe Montana has dipped his toes into everything from California’s legal weed business to whiskey. Now he’s getting into modeling.
On Thursday, Drake’s streetwear brand announced a line of NFL-sanctioned Super Bowl merchandise and teamed up with Montana to show it off. In the main announcement photo, Montana stands stoically in front of the San Francisco skyline wearing an OVO-branded varsity jacket, hands in pockets.
