Beginning with his grandfather becoming one of the first Chinese American Realtors in the City (1954), he and Derek’s father ran the single office in the heart of Chinatown for half a century. After graduation from San Francisco State University, Derek embarked on the “family business” and has gratefully made it his lifelong career.
